An educational program is taught in elementary schools with the dual objective that the children will take this information home to teach their parents and that the children themselves will become environmentally sensitive, responsible adults. Another important aspect of this program is the implementation of a cooking grease recycling program in Baldwin and Mobile counties. Trained volunteers from partnered organizations are provided to teachers to supplement their efforts in the classrooms. The children will also be sent home with coloring/activity books and handouts that reinforce watershed protection and aquifer preservation.
