Living Shorelines Workshop

A Living Shorelines Workshop will be held on Tuesday, August 19 at the 5 Rivers Delta Conference Center (30945 Five Rivers Boulevard). We will be meeting in the Tensaw Theater room from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. This workshop will explore the different aspects involving the creation, benefits, and monitoring of living shorelines along our coastal areas. Presenters will cover the ecological and hydrological functions and monitoring for living shorelines, as well as the permitting process for creating one.

There will be time for a Q&A. We also encourage anyone who is interested in continuing the conversation afterwards to meet at Blue Gill on the causeway for a chance to further discuss living shorelines.

Please register below for the workshop. You will receive a confirmation email upon completion. Thank you for your interest and we look forward to seeing you that night!

Since 1993, the Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) has worked to promote a culture where environmental decisions are based on an accurate understanding of the underlying science, the dissemination of factual information, and the engagement of government, industry and citizens to find solutions to Alabama's coastal environmental challenges. We bring that vision into reality through our inclusive environmental stewardship approach.

ACF makes it easy for you to connect to your coast! Keep up to date on events and opportunities to improve and protect Alabama's precious coastal environment.
