2019 Sustainability Summit

Call for Presentations

The Green Coast Council's 2019 Sustainablity Summit will take place from 8:30am-3:30pm on Friday, January 25th at the University of South Alabama. The Summit Planning Committee has created this Call for Presentations (CFP) to allow people to propose presentations. 

 

CFP Process— To submit your proposal to present during the 2019 Summit, you must first complete the "Presentation Application" form at the bottom of this pageOnce you complete that application, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to submit your proposal information. At that stage in the process, you can let the Summit Planning Committee know if you would like to present alone for the entire hour or if you would rather to present with others as part of a concurrent track session or plenary panel. Presentations will be chosen based on the relevance, merit and quality of each proposal.  If your presentation is selected, the Alabama Coastal Foundation will wiave your Summit registration fee which is normally $60 for the general public, $50 for GCC members or $25 for students.

  • Coastal Resiliency/Climate Adaptaion 

  • Energy and Water Conservation

  • Green Infrastructure/Ecosystems Services

  • Local government policies and initiatives

  • Sustainable Agriculture and Aquaculture

  • Sustainable Business Practices/Recycling

Call for Presentations Process Timeline—

  • Call for Presentations: Open until midnight on October 10th

  • Presentation Review and Selection: : October 11th until October 19th

  • Decision Notification for Proposals: October 23rd
