National Estuaries Week

September 17-24, 2016

ACF promotes National Estuaries Week through social media!

The Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) engaged in a social media campaign to promote National Estuaries Week—September 17 to September 24, 2016. In addition to providing general promotion on Estuaries Week and related events, the ACF focused on several specific calls to action that informed Twitter followers and Facebook friends how they could get involved in events such as the 2016 Alabama Coastal Cleanup.

The Alabama Coastal Cleanup

The Alabama Coastal Cleanup took place on Saturday, September 17 at sites across coastal Alabama. The ACF oversaw two cleanup zones: Perdido Bay and the Flora-Bama

Since 1993, the Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) has worked to promote a culture where environmental decisions are based on an accurate understanding of the underlying science, the dissemination of factual information, and the engagement of government, industry, and citizens to find solutions to our coastal challenges. We bring that vision into reality through our inclusive environmental stewardship approach.
